Systematic Theology

The Master of Systematic Theology study program aims to form and consolidate the following professional competencies.

• Deepening knowledge in the field of the study of Orthodox theology and the development of skills acquired through the Bachelor program Orthodox Pastoral Theology;

• Obtaining complementary competencies for those who have completed bachelor studies in other Theology degree programs (didactics, social work, sacred art) or other domains;

• Acquisition of in-depth knowledge in the field of Systematic theology with special reference to comparative doctrine, doctrinal aspects of Orthodox missiology, Orthodox spirituality in the period of the flowering of hesychasm, Orthodox social and political ethics, history and philosophy of religions in the Romanian space, Orthodox apologetics;

• The ability to recognize, interpret and evaluate at an elementary level the main aspects of the encounter between the Orthodox doctrinal perspective, the Christian confessional doctrines and the contemporary currents concerning faith and spirituality;

• Refining the skills of preaching the faith in an irenic spirit.
