Applied laboratory sciences

Graduates of the Bachelor of Applied Laboratory Science will acquire the necessary competences related to: laboratory management in natural/life sciences with applications in environmental and biodiversity protection, biotechnology and food safety; industrial/research laboratory design with specific laboratory equipment; laboratory methods/techniques, method validation, procedure development; data acquisition, information processing, interpretation, archiving; laboratory audit. 

The university programme/curriculum covers all aspects of laboratory work, starting from the organisation of the laboratory according to GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) rules, standardisation of analytical methods in biochemistry, microbiology, molecular genetics and biotechnology or validation of already standardised methods, operation of specific equipment or facilities and application of the quality management system for accreditation.
