The master's program in German Philology: “Literary Paradigms and Linguistic Developments” (4 semesters) addresses the increasing demand for teachers and specialists in the field of German studies and intercultural mediation linked with the professional integration of graduates and the flexibility of the job market. This program aims to enhance and complement the knowledge acquired in bachelor's degree programs, providing an additional qualification necessary for continuing university studies (doctoral studies). The subjects covered in this study program focus on the German literary and cultural heritage in South-Eastern Europe, with particular emphasis on the specific characteristics of German literature in Transylvania, the reception of German literature across Romania, intercultural phenomena and contacts, and the synchronic peculiarities of the German language in multilingual contexts. This program equips students with general and professional knowledge, skills, and competencies applicable to various fields (educational, social, economic, and cultural) where knowledge of the German language and culture is essential: educational institutions (where German is taught as a mother tongue or a foreign language), publishing, media, cultural management, intercultural communication, and public relations.
