Forest Engineering

This program integrates in the field of Engineering and consists in 4 years of study (240 ECTS credits). Students will be trained in how to manage, organize, and operate technical systems related to forestry activities of capitalizing on wood and other non-woody services and products, as well as forest ecosystems. They will also acquire skills and competences in the sustainable management of forest ecosystems and in forestry technical systems planning. 

Perspectives after graduation: Graduates will be able to work in wood logging and engineering trading companies, forest districts, trading companies specializing in designing and building roads and other types of public and forestry-related infrastructure, in trading companies and institutes specializing in forest management planning, hunting and fishing associations, in the management of protected areas, forest guards and agencies for environmental conservation, in the competent ministry, as well as other fields related to forestry, such as trading companies specializing in construction, civil engineering, terrestrial measurements and cadastre, etc. The Forest Engineering study program focuses on developing entrepreneurial skills and competences.
