Doctoral programme (PhD)

Şcoala Doctorală pentru domeniul Științe ale comunicării BUCUREŞTI

Program description

The Doctoral School of Communication Sciences (DSCS) is a leading institution in the academic sphere of Romania. DSCS was chronologically the first doctoral school in the field and distinguishes itself through the scientific quality of doctoral theses, the alignment of topics with current trends in communication sciences research, scientific achievements, and the academic/professional trajectory of those who have obtained a doctorate within our school.

Since 2003, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences (FJSC) initiated efforts to establish a doctoral school, based on the academic experience of its own faculty and in collaboration with faculty members from other departments. When the field of "communication sciences" was introduced in the legal framework as a specialization in the field of social sciences, the premises for institutionalizing this scientific field were created. The doctoral school has been operating autonomously since 2008.
