Visual Arts

Two types of doctoral studies are organized:

(1) - Scientific doctorate, which aims to produce original scientific knowledge, internationally relevant, based on scientific methods. Within the Doctoral School of

field of Visual Arts, the scientific doctorate involves a scientific research activity advanced, in the History and Theory of Art profile – Aesthetics of the Visual Arts, with the subfields: History of universal visual art, History of Romanian visual art, Theory of visual arts, Anatomy and artistic anthropology, art criticism, visual art curation, artistic-visual pedagogy;

(2) - Professional doctorate, in the field of Visual Arts, which aims at the production of original knowledge based on the application of the scientific method and systematic reflection on of high-level national and international artistic creations. 

The professional doctorate it is mainly based on research activity and scientific analysis of its own performances artistic works, made in the Creation profile, in the subfields:

a) The visual-artistic composition, plastic, decorative, in design.

b) Genres, Techniques and artistic-visual technologies.
