The National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest stands as Romania's oldest comprehensive academic institution, with over two centuries of existence. Our two campuses, Bucharest and Pitești, are strategically positioned in Romania's most industrially developed region, to provide an immersive and dynamic learning environment.

POLITEHNICA Bucharest offers an extensive array of undergraduate and graduate programs through its 380 bachelor and master programs and access to 87 research centers. The university fosters an internationalized learning environment for its nearly 40,000 students in 21 faculties, providing 55 programs taught in English, French and German.

1-4=fail

5=sufficient

6=satisfactory

7-8=good

9=very good

10=excellent.

The maximum final university grade is 10.

ECTS credits: 1 full academic year=60 credits; 1 semester=30 credits

ECTS Grading scale:

A 10 EXCELLENT - outstanding performance with only minor errors

B 9 VERY GOOD - above the average standard but with some errors

C 7-8 GOOD - generally sound work with several notable errors

D 6 SATISFACTORY - fair but with significant shortcomings

E 5 SUFFICIENT - performance meets the minimum criteria
