Constanta Maritime University (CMU) is an independent Higher Education Institution established under the terms of the Maritime Education Act 1990. The Higher Education Funding Council for Romania and National Education Ministery are our regulators.

The university has two teaching campuses : the main campus is located in the center area of Constanta city and is supplemented by other campus near the Siutghiol Lake. Each campus is equipped with its own hostels facilities for students and guest.

Constanta Maritime University (CMU) prepares engineers in specialized electromechanical for full time and part time learning forms of education, in line with national standards developed by the Ministry of Education and international standards developed by International Maritime Organization (IMO) and according with STCW rules.

Constanta Maritime University, as excellence HEM at European Black Sea, plays a significant role in maritime education, research, capacity-building and economic development.

We offer diploma in:

1) Specialization Navigation and Naval Transport. Bachelor of Science Degree in Maritime Transport: Navigation and Naval Transport. Thus, our graduates can apply for a river or maritime officer certificate, which is recognized all over the world. Graduates of our university benefit from double certification:

a) Engineer Diploma in the specialization field awarded by the Ministry of Education

b) Deck officer certificate awarded after sitting an exam at the Romanian Naval Authority. All graduates of specialization to obtain access to sea or inland waterway Patent Officer, recognized worldwide patent. Thus, our graduates can apply for a river or maritime officer certificate, which is recognized all over the world.

2) Specialization Electromechanics. Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Engineering and Navigation. Thus, our graduates can apply for a river or maritime officer certificate, which is recognized all over the world. Graduates of our university benefit from double certification:

a) Engineer Diploma (BSC) in the specialization field awarded by the Ministry of Education

b) Patent marine engineer officer certificate awarded after sitting an exam at the Romanian Naval Authority. All graduates of specialization to obtain access to sea or inland waterway Patent Officer, recognized worldwide patent.

3) Specialization: Economic Engineering in Transports. Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and Management: Economic Engineering in Transports. This specialization gives the graduates alternatives for a future career in the field of transports.

4) Specialization: Electrotechnics. Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrotechnics Engineering

5) Specialization: Technologies and Telecommunication Systems. Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Telecommunication

6) Specialization Engineering and Environment Protection in Industry. Bachelor of Science Degree in Environment Engineering

7) Specialization: Cyber Security. Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Telecommunication
