The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (TUCN), an “Advanced Research and Education” awarded university, is today a tertiary education institution having a long-standing tradition as well as national and international recognition. TUCN comprises twelve faculties in the two academic centres, Cluj-Napoca and Baia Mare, and  programme locations in Alba-Iulia, Bistrita, Satu Mare and Zalau. The educational offer, aligned to the Bologna system, includes bachelor's, master’s, and doctoral programs, as well as life-long learning programs. These cover a wide range of domains, from engineering, architecture, fundamental sciences, to social sciences, humanities and arts. In addition to these, the TUCN organizes and conducts life-long learning activities and programs.

Housing:

Accommodationin the university’s  hostels or by rentingin the city. The taxes are lower in campus (according to the Taxes Regulationin the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca) and we encourage the multiculturalexperience shared by international and local students.

Cluj-Napoca is a very vivid student city, with a 100,000 student population, so that one in four inhabitants in Cluj-Napoca is a student. This makes a very good environment for study and leisure. In 2015 Cluj-Napoca was European Youth Capital and many art festivals such as Transylvania International Film Festival, Untold or Electric Castle are enriching the students’ life. Because of the very active cultural atmosphere, Cluj-Napoca was competing for European Capital of Culture 2021.
